Special long-term residence

- Guarantee letter from an adult Taiwan resident with a proper occupation or means成年台湾地区人民出具的保证书，保证人有正当职业或相当财力
- Economic category: highest degree, invitation letter, career record经济考量：最高学历、邀约机构邀请函、完整经历证明
- Consent to settlement from the competent authority, for the settlement stage申请定居时，中央目的事业主管机关加注同意定居意见的证明
If proof of loss is not yet available at filing, an undertaking allows submission within 3 months of the settlement permit, which keeps the permit and registration in place.
申请时尚无法取得上述证明者，可具结先领定居证，并在许可定居翌日起3个月内补交，以维持许可与户籍登记。

Dependent, long-term and special long-term residents may work. The long-term card is valid 3 years and extends by up to 2 years 6 months.
